ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ministry for Religious Affairs has extended the deadline for Hajj 2026 bookings under the private scheme from October 17, 2025, to October 22, 2025, providing five additional days for pilgrims to secure their spots.
The ministry has instructed approved Hajj operators to ensure all bookings are completed by the new deadline, under the guidelines of Hajj Policy 2026 and the service provider agreement. A quota of 60,000 seats has been allocated for the private scheme, with 55,500 bookings already completed, leaving 4,500 seats still available.
A ministry spokesperson has urged prospective pilgrims to verify approved operators on the Ministry’s website. Additionally, it is recommended that payments be made through banking channels, with a receipt and a copy of the Hajj agreement requested from the operators. Pilgrims are also advised to check their booking details on the Ministry’s website and the Pak Hajj mobile app.
This year, 37,903 new pilgrims are eligible to apply under the Private Hajj Scheme, while 22,097 pilgrims who missed the opportunity last year have been re-registered to ensure priority access. Private operators are required to submit affidavits confirming the registration of last year’s unfulfilled applicants, prioritizing them before accepting new applicants.
The quota allocation includes 22,096 pilgrims from last year and 37,903 new applicants. The overall cost for the government Hajj program is expected to range from PKR 1.15 million to PKR 1.25 million, depending on the region and duration of stay.
The application process for the government Hajj scheme has also been concluded, with 118,060 applications received. The first installment of approximately 50% of the total cost has been collected, with the second installment due on November 1, 2025.
