Qaiser’s brother booked in land-grab case

ISLAMABAD: A first information report (FIR) was registered against Adnan Qaiser, brother of former National Assembly speaker and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MP Asad Qaiser, at Margalla police station of Islamabad for occupying a bowling club at Fatima Jinnah Park on Thursday.

The case was registered on the complaint of Muhammad Arif, a staffer of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI).

The FIR read that MCI signed a two-year contract for the club with Liaquat Ali and Co. in 2019. “But later, Adnan and Fazal and Co. occupied the club. But the fact is that none of them either remained a bidder or a licensee, and that they both were the occupiers,” the FIR added.
