A calligraphy exhibition of calligraphy paintings by Farzana Waqas was held at the Alhamra Art Gallery in Lahore on Saturday.
The three day event that began on October 28th was attended by Governor Punjab Muhammad Sarwar and his wife as chief guests.
“I do Arabic calligraphy. Arabic calligraphy has a rich history relating spirituality to this art form. It includes a lot of traditions and sentiments associated with Islam as calligraphy was the most visual representation of Islam,” said Farzana Waqas while talking to Pakistan Today.
“Doing calligraphy is my worship and enjoyment. In a very short span of time I made about 60 paintings. My aim to exhibit them in the month Rabi-ul-Awal is to glorify religious blessings through painting. I wish to learn more and keep learning.”
