Outlaw arrested in Lahore

LAHORE: Lahore Police on Wednesday arrested underworld king Khawaja Aqeel, alias Gogi Butt, and dozen of his accomplices during a late-night raid on his house in a private housing scheme.

Initially, the Iqbal Town branch of the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) also arrested his two sons — Hamza and Abdullah — and nephews in the raid but released them later.

Confirming the news of arrests, Aqeel’s family accused police of also vandalising household items during the raid.

Police inserted sections related to terrorism, possessing unlicensed weapons, and others in the case.

The First Information Report (FIR) also states that a large cache of weapons was also seized during the raid.
