KARACHI: Strong winds swept across Karachi on Saturday, with gusts reaching 43 kilometres per hour, as several parts of the city also experienced dusty conditions.
The weather remained mixed across the metropolis during the day. Some areas stayed partly cloudy, while others had clear skies, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department's Early Warning Centre.
The Met Office said the strong winds are likely to persist for the next couple of days, and partly cloudy weather is expected to continue until Monday. It added that the prevailing sea breeze should help keep temperatures comparatively lower despite the summer season.
Dust-laden gusts were reported in multiple localities as the wind picked up. The outlook suggests Karachi residents may continue to face breezy conditions into the start of the coming week.
