Alizeh Shah drops explosive allegations against Falak Shabir after his dress code remarks

Actor Alizeh Shah has publicly called out singer Falak Shabir and his wife Sarah Khan, accusing them of hypocrisy following the singer’s recent remarks advocating for stricter public dress codes in Pakistan.

The controversy comes shortly after Falak Shabir drew widespread criticism online for calling on authorities to introduce laws restricting short dresses in public spaces. His comments sparked debate across social media, with many users pointing to perceived contradictions between his public stance and his work in the entertainment industry.

Now, Alizeh Shah has added to the controversy with a series of statements alleging her experience during the filming of the music video Yaraan.

According to her account, she repeatedly objected to a scene shot in an alley where a male actor was required to touch her leg. She claims she raised concerns during filming but was allegedly told the scene was necessary and was not allowed to leave the set until it was completed.

She further accused Falak Shabir of pressuring her into performing in what she described as uncomfortable and revealing situations, while simultaneously promoting stricter moral and dress standards in public discourse.

The claims have added a new layer to an already heated public debate surrounding Falak Shabir’s comments on cultural values, personal responsibility, and public morality.

Previously, Falak had faced backlash for his Instagram statement calling for a ban on short dresses in public spaces, which many online users criticised as contradictory given his artistic work featuring stylised performances and international models in music videos.

The renewed attention has now shifted the conversation toward wider industry practices, on-set consent, and the gap between public messaging and private professional environments.

As of now, neither Falak Shabir nor Sarah Khan has publicly responded to Alizeh Shah’s allegations.
