Training Session Empowers Monitoring and Evaluation Officers to Enhance Organizational Impact

LAHORE: The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) department successfully conducted a comprehensive two-day training session for its dedicated team of 120 Monitoring and Evaluation Officers (MEOs) on August 21st and 22nd, 2023. The purpose of this training was to enrich the knowledge and skills of these officers, ensuring they remain at the forefront of the latest policies and procedures.

The Managing Director, Deputy Managing Directors (DMDs), and Heads of Programs/Departmental heads attended the training session. The presence of these esteemed individuals was a testament to the significance of the event and the organization’s commitment to enhancing its monitoring and evaluation capabilities.

MD PEF commended the M&E department for their dedication towards the organizational mission and highlighted the crucial role that monitoring reports play in determining school payments. He emphasized the need for continuous improvement in the quality of work, underscoring the direct impact on the organization’s objectives. Furthermore, MD PEF stressed the importance of integrating IT-based solutions to enhance efficiency and ensure a mutually beneficial outcome for all stakeholders.

The Director of the M&E department provided a comprehensive overview of the ongoing monitoring activities undertaken by the team. It was emphasized that the accuracy and quality of submitted reports should never be compromised.

Deputy Managing Directors, recognizing the pivotal role of MEOs as the “eyes and ears” of PEF, reiterated the importance of submitting factual and impartial reports, devoid of any favoritism.

The training also facilitated a platform for Program Heads to introduce new interventions and policies currently being implemented by their respective programs. This allowed the MEOs to gain a deeper understanding of the broader organizational strategies and goals.

The training session proved to be a collaborative exchange of knowledge and insights, providing the MEOs with the tools they need to excel in their roles. With renewed enthusiasm and fortified expertise, the M&E officers are poised to contribute even more effectively towards the advancement of the organization’s objectives.
