Man who harassed women travelling in rickshaw not identified yet: police

Punjab Inspector General of Police Inam Ghani has said that the man who harassed women travelling in rickshaw in Lahore has not been identified yet, Geo News reported on Tuesday.

“We have identified the person who shot the video, but not the harasser,” the news outlet quoted Ghani as saying.

Earlier on Monday, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shehbaz Gill had said that the Punjab police has arrested the man who filmed the viral video of the women being sexually harassed while sitting on a rickshaw.

Last week, Chohan had said that he has talked to the Punjab IGP on the matter, adding that a special team has been set up for the case — which will use all available modern and scientific methods to identify the criminals.

The special assistant had said that the man involved in the incident will be traced and arrested soon, adding that the man has been identified using CCTV cameras.

A video showing a man sexually harassing a woman had gone viral on social media. The video shows one man jumps onto the rickshaw, out of nowhere, and forcibly kisses a woman.
