Maryam Nawaz set to depart for London for throat treatment

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is expected to travel to London today (Tuesday) for treatment of her throat. She will be consulting her personal physician during this visit.

According to party sources, Maryam has been suffering from a throat infection for some time, and doctors have indicated that surgery may be necessary.

Her trip to London is expected to last for one week, marking her first overseas visit since assuming office as Chief Minister. There is a possibility that she and her father, Nawaz Sharif, will return to the country together.
