SHC unhappy with FIA’s dillydallying in $100,000 disappearance case

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) Thursday expressed displeasure over delay in producing a challan by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against a woman banker in a case of disappearance of $100,000 from a private bank locker.

“You have released other officials. All your emphasis is against one person,” Justice Iqbal Kalhoro reprimanded the FIA officials.

He said that the accused was deprived of the right to bail because the challan was not being produced against her.

“Produce the challan or stop opposing the bail application,” he stated.

The SHC judge also directed the FIA to submit the challan to the court concerned after collecting the records within two weeks.
