PIA takes delivery of new jet

ISLAMABAD: In a move aimed at expanding flight operations and provide improved facilities to its customers, Pakistan International Airlines Tuesday inducted an Airbus A-330 into its fleet.

The flag carrier has secured two Airbus jets on lease via open tender. One of the aircraft reached Islamabad today, while the other is expected to reach by month-end.

A niche product aimed at countries with congested domestic markets, the wide-body 2017-born jets are aimed at replacing the ageing fleet of the airline.

Commenting on the development, PIA Chief Executive Officer Arshad Malik thanked the efforts of the team.
