Senate orders expedited inquiry into Cambridge paper leak
The Senate ordered a fast-tracked inquiry into the Cambridge exam paper leak, urging investigators to identify those responsible, report breach circumstances, and strengthen safeguards to protect future exams.

ISLAMABAD: The Senate has directed authorities to fast-track the investigation into the Cambridge examination paper leak, calling for those responsible to be identified and held accountable.
The directive was issued during a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Federal Education and Professional Training, where members expressed concern over the repeated leakage of Cambridge examination papers in Pakistan.
The committee instructed the relevant departments to complete the inquiry at the earliest and submit a comprehensive report on the incident, including the circumstances that led to the breach and the measures being taken to prevent future leaks.
Officials informed the committee that investigations are under way in coordination with Cambridge International Education and other stakeholders.
Committee members stressed that students should not suffer because of examination security failures and called for stronger safeguards to protect the integrity of future examinations.
The committee also emphasised the need for greater coordination between education authorities and law enforcement agencies to identify those involved and ensure such incidents are not repeated.
