Two held suspects killed in Gwadar shootout
Police in Gwadar said two arrested suspects were killed during a shootout when officers raided a site to recover weapons allegedly snatched from Balochistan Constabulary personnel. Authorities said the weapons were recovered and a search was under way for other suspects.

GWADAR: Two suspects who had been arrested in a weapons-snatching case were killed during a shootout in Gwadar when police raided a location to recover arms allegedly taken from Balochistan Constabulary personnel, according to police.
Police said one of the detainees, identified as Adnan, had confessed during interrogation to involvement in the incident at Ghatti Dhor Chowk in which weapons were snatched from Balochistan Constabulary personnel. They said he had also pointed out the place where the weapons were hidden and named his accomplices.
A police team headed by the SSP Gwadar then carried out a raid at the identified site. Police said armed men present there opened fire, leading to an exchange.
"Two arrested suspects were found dead after the exchange of fire ended. They were identified as Adnan and his accomplice, Abdullah," a senior police officer said, adding that the other attackers escaped.
Police said the recovered weapons included two official SMGs and a rifle. They said the two men killed in the exchange had been arrested two days earlier in connection with the same case, and that a search operation was continuing to trace the fleeing suspects. Separately, two unidentified bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from Kech and Panjgur districts.
