ISLAMABAD: Rizq, a Pakistani social enterprise focused on entrepreneurship and innovation, led a 24-member delegation to the 16th Social Business Day in Dhaka, Bangladesh, showcasing Pakistan's growing role in the global social business movement.

Organised by the Yunus Centre, the event brought together nearly 1,700 participants from 33 countries, with Pakistan fielding the second-largest delegation.

The delegation included entrepreneurs, academics, development professionals and young changemakers who participated in panel discussions, networking sessions and innovation forums to highlight Pakistan's social enterprise ecosystem and explore opportunities for international collaboration.

A key highlight was a meeting with Nobel Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus, where participants discussed expanding the social business movement and the 3-Zero initiative in Pakistan, alongside academic collaboration between the two countries.

The delegation also visited Grameen Bank to study its internationally recognised social business model and attended the Social Business Innovation Summit at North South University.

Rizq Chief Executive Officer Qasim Javaid said leading Pakistan's delegation for the second consecutive year reflected the organisation's commitment to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and youth engagement while creating new global opportunities for Pakistan.
