ISLAMABAD: Technical-level talks between the United States and Iran are scheduled to take place on Sunday in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, as diplomatic efforts continue following the recently signed Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
According to the Foreign Office, the discussions will focus on implementing key provisions of the agreement and addressing technical issues aimed at supporting a broader peace process between the two countries.
The talks come days after Pakistan facilitated negotiations that led to the signing of the Islamabad MoU, which established a framework for reducing tensions and opening the door to further dialogue.
Officials from both sides are expected to discuss matters related to security arrangements, maritime issues, sanctions, and confidence-building measures during the meeting.
Pakistan has continued to play a mediating role in the process, with officials expressing hope that sustained engagement between Washington and Tehran will help advance regional stability.
The outcome of the Bürgenstock talks is expected to shape the next phase of negotiations as both countries work towards a more comprehensive agreement on outstanding issues.
