Four held in Jhang teen death case

JHANG: Police in Jhang have arrested four men, including the main suspect, in connection with the death of an 18-year-old girl who was taken unconscious to a hospital and later died, according to police.

Police said the girl, a resident of Sultan Colony, had left home on June 4 to get a printed copy of her Class XI examination roll number slip. She did not return, and her family was unable to reach her because her mobile phone was switched off.

After she remained missing for several days, her father on June 7 registered a kidnapping case against unidentified persons at Satellite Town Police Station, police said.

Police said four suspects have now been arrested in the case, including the principal accused, as investigators pursue the circumstances surrounding the teenager’s death.
