RAWALPINDI: Seven candidates were caught cheating at an examination centre in Rawalpindi during the ongoing examinations, as authorities stepped up enforcement of a zero-tolerance policy against malpractice.
According to a spokesperson for the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi, the candidates were apprehended at Government Associate College for Women, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed. Their cases have been sent to the discipline branch for further action.
The spokesperson said the action came as monitoring of examination arrangements continued at different centres. Deputy Secretary Planning and Controller Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan visited several centres, including colleges in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed and Fateh Jang, to review the arrangements in place.
The visits were part of oversight during the ongoing examinations, with authorities maintaining strict checks against unfair means.
