Uzair Abbasi, a celebrated Pakistani actor, has passed away. He was widely known for his powerful performance in the popular drama Inteqam, where he portrayed the character of Rasheed Baba. His work in the series earned him significant recognition, along with high TRPs. Abbasi’s other notable projects included Karachi Division (2021), Bashu (2023), Heer Ranjha (2012), and Khilona.
Coming from a well-known film and television family, Uzair was the elder brother of esteemed producer and director Zubair Abbasi and the chachu (uncle) of actor Shamoon Abbasi.
Shamoon Abbasi shared the news of his uncle’s passing on social media, expressing his deep sorrow. He wrote, “My beloved chachu, my inspiration, my friend, my mentor left us today. Please recite Surah-e-Fatiha for his departed soul.” Shamoon also provided details of the funeral arrangements for his late uncle.
