HBL PSL 8 qualifier to go as scheduled, confirms PCB

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced that the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight Qualifier will go ahead here at Gaddafi Stadium ‘as scheduled’.

Following a tense security situation in the city due to clashes between the workers of a mainstream political party and law enforcement agencies on Tuesday, uncertainty surrounded the fate of the remaining HBL PSL matches. However, PCB has now confirmed that today’s PSL qualifier between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultan will be played as per its schedule.

It may be noted here that the winner of today’s match will qualify for the HBL PSL final, scheduled on Sunday. Meanwhile, the losing side plays a do-or-die match against the winner of the first eliminator between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi on Thursday.
