PM directs advisors, SAPMS to submit assets details

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister has reportedly directed Advisors and Special Assistants to PM (SAPM) to submit their assets details.

Sources said that most of the PM’s advisors as well as SAPMs have not submitted their assets details to the cabinet division so far.

According to rules, once an advisor or SAPM is notified, the cabinet division writes to him/her to file their asset or liabilities proforma within one week as per the decision of cabinet.

As per the information available on cabinet division website, Advisor to PM on Sports & Tourism Aun Chaudhry and Adviser on Establishment Ahad Cheema have not submitted their asset details yet.

Similarly, SAPMs including Ambassador (r) Muhammad Sadiq, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, Sheikh Fayyaz Uddin, Romina Khurshid Alam, Hafiz Abdul Karim, Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan, Zafaruddin Mahmood and Attaullah Tarar have not submitted their assets details to Cabinet division so far.

Meanwhile, SAPM on Public Policy and Strategic Communications Syed Fahd Hussain has also not submitted his assets details.

It is pertinent to note that the federal cabinet under the chair of former PM Imran Khan had made it mandatory for advisors or SAPMs to disclose their assets as well as nationality details.

According to information uploaded on the Cabinet division website, only Adviser on Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Qamar Zaman Qaira and Eng Amir Muqam have submitted their assets or nationality details.

Qamar Zaman has mentioned that he owns Rs106.6 million net assets, which was Rs102.3 in previous year so there is an increase of Rs4.2 million in assets from last year.

Meanwhile, an increase of Rs10.009 million witnessed in assets of Amir Muqam as he mentioned Rs223.9 million net assets in 2021 comparable to Rs213.9 million in previous year.

The PML-N KPK leader revealed that he owns Rs52.3 million worth assets outside Pakistan which include Corniche Tower Ajman UAE.

He also made Rs11 million borrowing from his wife as per the asset details.

SAPM Tariq Fatemi disclosed that he has four houses including Bani Gala Islamabad and still he is paying installments over the past 35 years.

He also has savings $176.564 brought from Brussels on his retirement in 2004 from Foreign Service after 35 Years and interest earned.

He has also invested in Bahbood savings besides owns Rs87.06 million cash in hand or bank accounts of himself and wife.

On the other hand, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja revealed that She has Rs56.2 million total assets which includes three plots in DHA Lahore, M/s steel craft gifted by parents and also have invested money in national or foreign stock exchanges.

SAPM on Youth Affairs also invested over Rs2.2 million in foreign Startups.

SAPM Saqib Iftihar has declared Rs31.4 million net assets including Rs20 million commercial, industrial residential property in the US.

Similarly, SAPM Awais Siddique also declared Rs19.7 million assets including plot in Korangi Karachi.
