Ramiz Raja backs Pakistan squad ahead of semi-final, says it’s ‘impossible to beat them right now’

The former captain hailed the performance shown by the Men in Green and said that the whole nation is together just because of them

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has expressed satisfaction over the performance of the national cricket team in the ongoing ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

The former captain hailed the performance shown by the Men in Green and said that the whole nation is together just because of them.

“The performance has been excellent so far,” Raja said in a video message. “The national cricket team has removed the tag of inconsistency from its performance.”

Raja further added that the side has been consistent throughout due to the leadership of Babar Azam, self-belief of the players and humility on the field.

“Sometimes, you are desperate for a win. Your self-belief gets peaked that you think that no one can beat you. I have played three World Cups and playing it as a player is difficult but the way Babar has led his troops, it is a big achievement,” he added.

“Without thinking of the result, play your best cricket. As a cricketer, I am telling you that it’s impossible to beat this side. Regardless of the opposition, play the same brand of cricket you have been playing,” he concluded.

It must be noted that Pakistan will face Australia in the second semi-final of the tournament on November 11 at Dubai International Stadium.
