Clear skies expected to set the stage for Basant celebrations in Lahore

LAHORE: Chief Meteorologist Dr. Zaheer Babar has dismissed the possibility of rain during the upcoming Basant Festival in Lahore, forecasting favourable weather conditions for the annual kite-flying celebrations.

Speaking to Geo News, Dr. Babar said the weather is expected to remain clear throughout the three-day festival from February 6 to 8. He noted that residents can expect cool nights and moderate daytime temperatures, creating ideal conditions for outdoor activities.

He added that light winds are also forecast during the period, which should help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for festivalgoers.

Authorities have meanwhile urged citizens to celebrate responsibly and strictly adhere to kite-flying regulations to maintain safety and order during the festivities.
