Large python triggers panic after surfacing in Sialkot rain drain

SIALKOT: Residents of a neighbourhood in Budyana, Sialkot, were gripped by fear after a massive snake suddenly emerged from a rainwater stream, causing panic in the area, according to reports.

Witnesses said the reptile, measuring around 10 feet in length, appeared unexpectedly from the flowing rainwater, alarming nearby residents and prompting an immediate call for help.

Rescue 1122 teams responded swiftly and managed to safely capture the snake before it could pose any danger to people in the vicinity. Officials later identified the reptile as an Indian python.

After the operation, Rescue 1122 handed the snake over to the provincial Wildlife Department, which will oversee its care and relocation to a suitable habitat. Authorities said timely action prevented any injuries and restored calm in the area.
