Four children killed by explosive in Kandhkot

KANDHKOT: Four children lost their lives and another was injured on Monday when a rusted rocket shell detonated near Zor Garh along the Indus Highway in Kandhkot.

Locals said the children, members of the same Gola tribe family, had been tending cattle when they came across the corroded ordnance in nearby bushes. Mistaking it for a harmless object, they began playing with it before it suddenly exploded.

Police reached the scene soon after being notified and secured the area, launching a search operation to locate any remaining unexploded devices. Authorities have urged residents to report suspicious objects to prevent further tragedies.
