ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has issued a high-security alert for all educational institutions across Islamabad, directing schools and colleges to enhance safety measures immediately.
Under the directive, institutions must deploy security personnel at all entry and exit points, ensure CCTV cameras and metal detectors remain fully operational, and establish dedicated security and vigilance committees.
The FDE has instructed schools to maintain a 24-hour presence of watchmen, conduct daily security inspections, and keep detailed logbooks of all safety checks. Institutions are also required to report any emergency directly to the nearest police station without delay.
Weekly security reports must be submitted to the FDE, which has warned that strict action will be taken against institutions failing to comply with the instructions.
The move comes amid heightened concerns over safety in the capital, with authorities emphasizing proactive measures to protect students, staff, and school premises from potential threats.
