Senior doctor accused of brutally assaulting trainee

A disturbing incident of violence has been reported at PIMS Hospital, where a senior doctor is accused of assaulting a trainee doctor within the facility.

The victim, Dr. Ibrahim, has filed a formal complaint at the Karachi Company Police Station, requesting the registration of a case.

In his application, Dr. Ibrahim explained that while reporting for duty at the burn center, he was stopped by a guard acting on the orders of senior doctor Abdul Khaliq. Shortly afterward, Dr. Khaliq and his associates allegedly attacked him.

Dr. Ibrahim also stated that during the assault, his mobile phone was deliberately smashed by Dr. Khaliq.

He further claimed that after the beating, he was locked in a room for two hours.

The trainee doctor also reported that Dr. Khaliq threatened to fire him and even harm him if he reported the incident. Dr. Ibrahim has demanded immediate action against the senior doctor for the assault.

The case is currently under investigation, and authorities are expected to take further steps.
