Maulana Tariq Jameel, a highly respected Muslim scholar known for his compassionate approach to all, recently discussed the topic of marriage to transgender individuals.
In an interview with activist and designer Maria B, who has been outspoken against the LGBTQ movement, Maulana Tariq Jameel shared his views on the subject. Maria B, who is part of the “Mothers of Pakistan” group opposing the LGBTQ movement, spoke with the Maulana about various issues, including transgender rights.
Maulana Tariq Jameel referred to the people of Hazrat Lut AS, highlighting the punishment they faced due to their actions. He addressed the idea that men could marry Khawajasiras (transgender individuals), stating that such marriages are not permissible in Islam. He explained that the purpose of marriage (Nikkah) is to procreate, and since Khawajasiras are not capable of having children, the marriage is not valid according to Islamic teachings.
