The Government of Punjab has announced that salaries and pensions for government employees and pensioners will be released earlier than usual, with payments scheduled for Friday, October 31, 2025.
According to an official notification from the Punjab Finance Department, the decision was taken because November 1 and 2 fall on Saturday and Sunday, which are gazetted holidays. To ensure employees and retirees receive their dues on time, the provincial government approved the early release of pay, allowances, and pensions.
The notification, signed by Muhammad Younas, Section Officer (FR), instructed the Accountant General Punjab and all District Accounts Officers to complete the payment process by October 31.
Copies of the circular have also been sent to all administrative secretaries, commissioners, deputy commissioners, and heads of attached departments across the province. It has additionally been shared with the Registrar of the Lahore High Court, District and Sessions Judges, and senior officials in the offices of the Governor and Chief Minister.
