ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met British Member of Parliament Lord Shafaq Mohammad in Islamabad on Monday. The two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relationship with the United Kingdom. He highlighted the vital role played by the Pakistani community in the UK, noting that they serve as a bridge for fostering stronger bilateral ties.
The Interior Minister reiterated that Pakistan condemns criminal activities by its citizens anywhere in the world and takes full responsibility for bringing such individuals back. However, he clarified that those who have renounced their Pakistani nationality are not covered under this obligation.
Lord Shafaq Mohammad assured the minister of his complete support in strengthening relations between the two nations.
The meeting was also attended by Secretary Interior Mohammad Khurram Agha, the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, and other senior officials.
