Like, share, kidnap: TikTok influencer involved in Sindh kidnappings arrested

A popular TikTok influencer from Kashmore, Uroosa Solangi, has been arrested for her involvement in a series of honeytrap kidnappings in Sindh. The police confirmed that Solangi lured men from rural areas of Sindh and Punjab through online platforms, particularly Facebook and WhatsApp, with promises of marriage. Once they arrived in Kashmore, they were kidnapped by the notorious Bakhsh Ali Shar gang.

The investigation revealed that Solangi, while not directly involved in the ransom negotiations, received a share of the ransom after the kidnappings were completed. Authorities found that her mobile phone, which had been under surveillance, was linked to the gang. Despite not displaying any criminal activity on her TikTok account, her interactions through other social media platforms led to her involvement in the crimes.

The investigation also uncovered that Solangi had been receiving threats from a criminal, which eventually led to her forming a friendship with Bakhsh Ali Shar, the gang leader. Police have now registered an FIR against her, linking her to more than a dozen honeytrap cases.
