NHA holds Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) event for women employees in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: In line with the directives of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, ministries and their attached departments across the country are holding ceremonies to mark Ashra Rahmat-ul-Lil-Alameen (SAW).

Following a men’s gathering earlier, the Ministry of Communications and its attached department, the National Highway Authority (NHA), arranged a Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) event for female employees at the NHA Headquarters Auditorium, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.

The event featured recitations of Hamd and Na’at, Durood-o-Salaam, and discussions on the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH), creating a spiritually uplifting environment.

Female officers and staff from the Ministry of Communications and NHA took part in the programme. Notable attendees included Ms. Daleela Kiran Shakeel, Chief Financial and Audit Officer, and Ms. Fakhira Akram from the Ministry of Communications. Representatives from Minhaj-ul-Quran, including Ms. Iqra Umar, Ms. Rahat, Ms. Ayesha Malik, Ms. Shumaila, Ms. Shahida, Ms. Ambreen, Ms. Zoya, and Ms. Rubab, also joined.

The event was organized by Dr. Anila Javed Gondal, Director Establishment NHA, and Ms. Maliha Siddiqui, Assistant Director Employees Fund, while proceedings were moderated by Ms. Nazma Aftab.

Earlier, male officers of the NHA had held a separate Milad gathering. During the women’s programme, young girls recited Na’ats in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), while female officers delivered speeches highlighting his life and teachings.
