Hajj quota down to final 3,500 seats

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony announced on Monday that over 114,500 applications have already been submitted for the Government Hajj Scheme 2026, leaving only about 3,500 seats still available.

According to the ministry’s spokesperson, Muhammad Umar Butt, designated banks have been directed to continue accepting applications until the quota is completely filled.

He urged prospective pilgrims to apply at the nearest nominated bank branches without delay, warning that the process will be closed immediately once the last seats are taken.
