KARACHI: With the scorching heat subsiding, Karachi’s residents took advantage of the pleasant weather on Sunday, visiting popular recreational spots like Sea View, Manora, Hawke’s Bay, and city parks. Families, enjoying the cooler temperatures, flocked to these destinations to unwind and spend time together.
The coastal areas saw the highest footfall, with visitors enjoying the sea breeze, swimming, and engaging in activities like camel and horse rides, motorbike stunts, and snacking on traditional street foods such as gol gappay, fruit chaat, and chana chaat. Many families also brought their own meals to enjoy picnicking by the sea.
As the evening set in, Karachi’s food streets and eateries remained bustling, with people savoring BBQ, biryani, platters, and other local dishes. The improved weather was described by many as a relief after a long period of intense heat, with many hoping for more rain in the coming days.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast partly cloudy skies with a chance of light rain or drizzle in the city due to local weather conditions. The temperature is expected to remain between 33°C and 35°C over the next few days, with humidity levels making the weather feel warmer at times.
