SHCC introduces online registration for clinics and hospitals

KARACHI: The Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) has launched an online platform for the registration and licensing of clinics and private hospitals across the province. This initiative follows an agreement between SHCC and the Sindh Business One Stop Shop (SBOSS) under the World Bank-funded Competitive & Livable City of Karachi (CLICK) project.

Dr. Khalid Hussain Sheikh, Chairman of SHCC, explained that the new system simplifies the registration process for healthcare institutions, transitioning from manual to digital services with the collaboration of the CLICK Project. SHCC CEO Dr. Ahsan Qavi Siddiqui added that the commission is also working on a broader digital transformation of Sindh’s healthcare system, which is 80% complete through the implementation of an ERP system.

Dr. Mirza Ali Azhar, a member of the SHCC Board of Commissioners, emphasized that the primary goal is to streamline the registration process while protecting the rights of healthcare providers and their patients.
