- Lawmakers share feedback with the premier from the ground and highlight developmental priorities in their regions
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday held separate meetings with Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) Shakir Bashir Awan, Ahmad Raza Maneka, Riaz ul Haq Jajja, and Dr Hafeezur Rehman Dreshak, as well as Minister of State for Law Barrister Aqeel Malik, here at the Prime Minister’s Office.
During the meetings, the parliamentarians congratulated the prime minister on presenting a “pro-people” and “economically responsible” federal budget for the fiscal year 2025–26. They appreciated the government’s focus on addressing the country’s economic challenges while prioritizing public welfare, a Prime Minister’s Office news release said.
The meetings also included detailed discussions on issues pertaining to their respective constituencies. The MNAs shared feedback from the ground and highlighted developmental priorities in their regions.
In addition, the overall national and political situation was reviewed, with the participants reaffirming their support for the government’s vision of stability and economic reform.
Federal Minister for Public Affairs Rana Mubashir Iqbal and Minister of State for Power Division Abdul Rehman Kanju were also present during the discussions.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also held separate meetings with Members of the National Assembly (MNAs)—Nadeem Abbas Rebaira, Anwarul Haq Chaudhry, Muhammad Shehbaz Babar, Ahmad Atiq Anwar, and Rana Iradat Sharif—here at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The discussions focused on constituency-related matters and the overall political and national situation of the country, a Prime Minister’s Office news release said.
Federal Minister for Public Affairs Unit Rana Mubashir Iqbal, Minister of State for Power Division Abdul Rehman Kanju, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Talha Burki were also present during the meetings.
The Prime Minister had praised the performance of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Minister for successfully organizing the Hajj operations this year.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf and Secretary of Religious Affairs Syed Attaur Rehman called on the prime minister here at the Prime Minister’s Office, a news release said.
PM Shehbaz Sharif conferred the Minister for Religious Affairs with a shield of honor for his excellent performance in this regard.
Director General Hajj Abdul Wahab Soomro, posted in Jeddah, participated in the meeting via video link.
