SUJAWAL: The Sindh Taraqipasand Party (STP) organized a rally in Sujawal on Sunday to protest against the rising narcotics trade and prolonged power outages in the district. The rally, which started at Mamoon Laddu Chowk and ended at the Public Park, saw a large turnout of party leaders, workers, and local residents.
The participants chanted slogans against drug peddlers and criticized the government for its failure to address the escalating drug addiction, including substances like alcohol, heroin, ice, mawa, and Indian gutka. STP leaders accused law enforcement agencies of inaction, alleging that narcotics are being sold openly in the area with no fear of consequences.
The speakers also condemned the unannounced power cuts, blaming HESCO officials for their negligence. They warned that if the power supply issue is not addressed soon, the party would escalate its protests, including besieging HESCO offices.
