Tragic accidents claim six lives across Pakistan in separate incidents

CHAKWAL: In a heartbreaking incident, three children, including two sisters and their brother, drowned while swimming in the Mini Gohal Dam in Lava, District Chakwal.

The victims, identified as 13-year-old Fiza, 5-year-old Abia, and 4-year-old Furqan, lost their lives despite the immediate response of rescue teams. Police officials reported that the children were swimming when the tragedy occurred.

The District Police Officer (DPO) Chakwal swiftly took notice of the incident and instructed authorities to launch an inquiry and provide full support to the grieving family. The local community is in mourning, with residents calling for enhanced safety measures around the dam to prevent further accidents.

In another tragic incident, three people lost their lives in a road accident near Sar Kal Kasar on Saturday. A 22-wheeler trailer, traveling from Chakwal to Rawalpindi, overturned due to speeding.

The trailer, loaded with wheat, lost control and flipped, causing the death of three individuals on the spot. Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene, and investigations are ongoing.

In Gilgit, a devastating accident in Chalt Nagar area claimed the lives of three people, including a groom.

The vehicle, carrying family members to bring the bride home, veered off the road while navigating a sharp turn and plunged into a river. All six victims were from the same family, and rescue teams have recovered three bodies so far, with the search continuing for the remaining victims.
