Water pipeline repaired, theft of crucial part uncovered

KARACHI: The Water Corporation has successfully repaired a 36-inch diameter pipeline at the University of Karachi, which had been leaking due to a missing part. During the repair process, engineers discovered that the ‘inspection tee neck plate,’ essential for the proper functioning of the pipeline, had been stolen, causing the leakage.

Chief Engineer WTM Syed Muhammad Ijaz confirmed that the theft was a deliberate act by miscreants, aimed at disrupting the city’s water supply and creating difficulties for the public. The team installed the missing plate and sealed the leakage, restoring the pipeline’s functionality.
