LAHORE: Police in Shadbagh have arrested a man accused of murdering his sister and trying to disguise the scene as a suicide.
Initially, the woman was believed to have died by slitting her wrist. However, officers noticed signs of violence on her face and neck, raising suspicions.
Upon questioning, her brother confessed to the murder, admitting he killed her over suspicions she had stolen money from their home.
He reportedly cut his nails to hide scratch marks on the victim’s body and then slit her wrist to fake suicide. Police registered a murder case and sent the body for post-mortem. Investigations are ongoing.
In a separate case, police arrested Mubashir in Nadarabad for allegedly attempting to kill his father over a property dispute. He was caught with a pistol after reportedly threatening and attempting to shoot his father during a heated argument. A case has been registered against him.
