LAHORE: Police have arrested three suspects, including two brothers, in connection with the murder of Munir Khan in Lahore’s Sabzazar area.
The case had drawn attention from local residents, prompting DIG Investigation Lahore Syed Zeeshan Raza to initiate a detailed probe. SP Investigation Iqbal Town Sidra Khan formed a special team to track down the suspects, who were apprehended using a combination of modern technology and human intelligence.
According to police officials, Munir Khan was killed over a domestic dispute, and the accused fled the scene immediately after the shooting. All three suspects are now in custody, and SP Sidra Khan stated that a strong challan is being prepared to ensure they face legal consequences.
DIG Raza reaffirmed the department’s commitment to taking firm action against criminals. SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed announced commendation certificates for the police team in recognition of their swift work.
Separately, DIG Raza visited Mayo Hospital to inquire after Constable Akasha Butt, who was injured in a hit-and-run incident in Shahdara.
