Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari Distributes Home Ownership Documents to Flood Victims

MNA hands over property papers to women in Mirza Farrukh Baig village, as part of Sindh People's Housing Project

LAHORE: Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, a member of the National Assembly and the youngest daughter of former president Asif Ali Zardari, distributed home ownership documents to flood-affected residents in Mirza Farrukh Baig village, Daur taluka, on Monday. This gesture was part of the Sindh People’s Housing Project, which aims to provide shelter to families displaced by the 2022 floods.

Accompanied by Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, Aseefa visited the village and engaged with the women beneficiaries, who had been relocated to newly-constructed houses. During her visit, she interacted with the families, asking about their challenges and assuring them of ongoing support.

The Sindh People’s Housing Project is a significant initiative aimed at offering permanent housing to those who lost their homes in the catastrophic floods. Aseefa distributed the ownership papers to female beneficiaries, part of the world’s largest free residential project for flood victims.

Addressing the recipients, Aseefa emphasized that the project fulfilled a promise made by her grandfather, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, to provide a stable future to the people. She assured the families that their concerns would be addressed and further efforts would be made to ease their difficulties.
