Disabled girl raped in Sehwan, suspect arrested

A 20-year-old disabled girl, Bakhtawar Lashari, was raped in Sehwan on May 4 by Ali Raza Chanesar Makrani, a man from her neighborhood. The incident took place when Bakhtawar, who is wheelchair-bound, was outside her house, and the accused forcibly dragged her to the house of Ahmed Ali Macchi, where the assault occurred. The accused fled after the incident, and Macchi was reportedly present during the crime.

Bakhtawar’s uncle, Amjad Ali Lashari, filed a case at Sehwan police station on May 10, and the victim was sent to Abdullah Shah Hospital for medical treatment. Police have arrested the suspect, and further action is pending medical reports. Meanwhile, another rape case was filed by 27-year-old Salima Rind, accusing her father-in-law, Noor Muhammad Rind, of assault.
