Two policemen martyred in Peshawar suicide blast

Two policemen were martyred and two others, along with a passer-by, were injured in a suicide blast near a police van at Ring Road Mall Mandi in Peshawar. The bomber targeted the police mobile van patrolling the area on Saturday, causing severe damage to the vehicle.

The martyred officers, Sub-Inspector Laiq Zada Khan and Constable Alamzaib, were inside the van when the blast occurred. The explosion was heard at distant locations, alarming the surrounding community. Police later recovered the body of the suspected suicide bomber from the scene.

In another incident, a policeman was martyred and one terrorist killed during an exchange of fire in Gwadar after an attack on a residential compound. Law enforcement agencies have launched investigations into both incidents, tightening security in the affected areas.
