RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir has said that the Pakistan Army’s “resolute and unified response” during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos constitutes a “defining chapter” in the country’s military history.
A statement from the Inter Services Public Relations said the army chief made the comments while visiting the Combined Military Hospital Rawalpindi today to enquire after the well-being of soldiers and civilians wounded during the conflict period of Marka-i-Haq and the aforementioned operation.
Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir individually met with injured military personnel during his visit to the Combined Military Headquarters Hospital in Rawalpindi and lauded their exceptional bravery and steadfast devotion to duty.
The ISPR said he reaffirmed the Pakistan armed forces’ unwavering commitment to their continued care, rehabilitation and welfare.
“Our civilians’ and soldiers’ valour and sacrifice form the cornerstone of Pakistan’s security. The entire nation stands in resolute solidarity with every member of its Armed Forces,” the COAS said.
Gen Munir underscored that no hostile design can erode the determination of the armed forces.
