Sindh government to launch 5-year plan for adolescent education

KARACHI: The Sindh government, in collaboration with UNICEF, has unveiled a five-year multi-sectoral roadmap aimed at addressing barriers to education and fostering an inclusive learning environment across the province. The announcement was made during a meeting in Karachi, chaired by Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, with officials from various sectors, including health, social protection, and climate change, in attendance.

The roadmap focuses on removing obstacles preventing children from accessing education, with a strong emphasis on early childhood development and birth registration. The meeting also highlighted the impact of socio-economic and environmental factors such as child labor, malnutrition, and political instability on educational outcomes. The initiative aims to integrate various sectors to tackle these challenges and ensure a holistic approach to education.
