LAHORE: Iqbal Town police have successfully recovered a young woman who was allegedly abducted at knifepoint, arresting the suspect involved in the incident. The accused, Inam Rasool, reportedly abducted the victim, identified as ‘R’, from Main Boulevard by threatening her with a knife and then took her to Shahdara.

CCTV footage of the incident shows the suspect forcibly leading the woman away. After receiving a call on Rescue 15, the police traced the suspect’s location and conducted a raid in Shahdara, recovering the woman safely and arresting the suspect. Authorities also recovered the knife used in the abduction. Investigations revealed that the suspect had allegedly forged a fake marriage certificate (Nikahnama) to harass and blackmail the victim. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
