Heatwave to continue in Sindh until April 30

KARACHI: Despite the presence of sea breezes, Karachi experienced hot and humid weather on Thursday, with the temperature peaking at 37.5°C and humidity reaching 58%, making conditions feel even warmer. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts similar weather for the next three days.

According to the Early Warning Center, the mercury may rise to 38°C on Friday and 39°C on Saturday in Karachi. The heatwave is expected to persist across most parts of Sindh until April 30, with temperatures likely to remain 6 to 8 degrees above normal.

In districts like Tharparkar, Umarkot, and Mirpurkhas, temperatures may exceed normal levels by 4 to 6 degrees. On Thursday, the highest temperatures were recorded in Shaheed Benazirabad and Dadu, where the mercury hit 45.5°C.
