Man and daughter arrested for involvement in street crimes in Karachi

KARACHI: Police have arrested a man, Bilal, and his 16-year-old daughter, Shumaila, in connection with a series of motorcycle thefts in New Karachi. The duo was apprehended after they allegedly snatched a motorcycle at gunpoint from a man named Noman in Sector 11-L on April 14.

Authorities recovered stolen motorcycles, firearms, and narcotics from the suspects’ possession. The police noted that CCTV footage clearly identified Bilal’s involvement in the crime and revealed his use of his daughter to avoid detection. Further investigation revealed that Bilal’s brother-in-law, Faheem, was also involved in street crimes and is currently at large. Bilal has confessed to committing four crimes alongside his daughter.
