Five arrested for murder of ‘blackmailer’ in Jalalpur

MULTAN: Jalalpur police have arrested five individuals, including two women, in connection with the murder of 50-year-old Riaz Hussain Saeedi, following an investigation into a case involving blackmail and sexual exploitation.

The case began with a missing person report, which led to the discovery that Riaz had been involved in fraud and exploitation, posing as a spiritual healer and using black magic to manipulate women. Police sources revealed that Riaz had been sexually exploiting several women and blackmailing them with explicit videos.

Two victims came forward, revealing that Riaz had threatened them using these videos, prompting the suspects, Muhammad Nadir and his cousin Muhammad Jameel, to take matters into their own hands. The pair lured Riaz to Chak No.184/M under the guise of spiritual healing. After confirming the presence of incriminating videos on Riaz’s phone, they strangled him with a cloth. A fifth suspect, Aamir, helped dispose of the body by providing a vehicle.

CPO Sadiq Ali Dogar confirmed that the investigation team used advanced technology, including CDR analysis, geo-fencing, and forensic tools, to track down and arrest all five suspects.
