ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has reiterated that education is the only path to the development of the country.
The minister made these remarks while addressing the convocation of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Sindh Chapter, in Karachi on Sunday, where he was the chief guest. He emphasized that education is not just a need of the times but also the first commandment of our religion.
Siddiqui cautioned that if the nation does not align itself with the demands of the modern era and work towards self-improvement, external forces may impose changes upon the country.
During the ceremony, the minister, along with AIOU Vice-Chancellor, distributed degrees to the graduating students. Outstanding students were also honored with gold medals for their exceptional performance.
